Jerry M. Eversole, 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. He was born on December 22, 1926 in Buckhorn, Kentucky, the son of the late Milton Eversole and Ella (Morris) Eversole. Jerry retired after 20 years from the old I.C.I. America in Charlestown, Indiana. He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Crothersville, Indiana, where he had served as a Trustee and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and earlier in life, loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Lee Eversole; a son, Danny Eversole; a daughter, Ella Sue Resenda; a stepson, Gary Eugene Gayhart; a brother, Price Eversole; two sisters, Lettie Fushee and Cora Combs and a step grandson, Derek Lane Stigdon. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Irene (Combs) Eversole; a son, Bobby Eversole and wife Joyce of Austin, Indiana; two daughters, Nancy Wooten and Diana Smith both of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepson, Gregory Gayhart and wife Michelle of Henryville, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Barbara Kline and husband David of Scottsburg, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial Contributions: Lighthouse Tabernacle c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Crothersville, Indiana with Pastor Jerry Miles officiating. Jerry's family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 to 11 am on Saturday. Interment will be in Scaffold Lick Cemetery at a later date.

We looked forward to Christmas every year so we could see what new and funny Christmas Hat Mr. Eversole would wear. He will be greatly missed!!
