Jimmie “Jim” Rutherford, Sr., 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana died on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 8, 1944 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Herbert and Fannie (Goodin) Rutherford and was a graduate of Deputy High School Class of 1962. Jim was a retired pneumatic controls specialist from the Local 502 Pipefitters and Plumbers Union in Louisville, Kentucky, also an employee of the old American Can Company in Austin, Indiana and former owner and operator of the old Rutherford Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing Company. Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Kilburn) Rutherford; a son, Jimmie Rutherford, Jr. and his wife DeLynn of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Annette Stout and her husband Carl of Deputy, Indiana; two brothers, Jerry Rutherford and his wife Alana of Scottsburg, Indiana and Harold Rutherford and his wife Rachel of Lexington, Indiana; his grandson, Miles Grant Rutherford and five nieces.
