JoAnn Bane, 74, of Campbellsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on November 5, 1942 in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Paul E. Johnson and Verna (Higgins) Johnson. JoAnn was married on February 13, 1971 to Harry Eugene “Gene” Bane, who died on April 16, 2008. She was a private caregiver, which she operated from her home for Blue River Services in Corydon, Indiana. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Don Hammond; two stepsons, Jessie Lee and Eddie Bane; a stepdaughter, Brenda Brewer and a sister, Jeanne Gouard. Survivors include a son, Chris Hammond of Campbellsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Anita and husband Dan Triplett of Florida; a stepson, Terry and wife Leah Bane of Campbellsburg, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Geraldine Albertson of Scottsburg, Indiana and Shirley and husband Mike Cole of Salem, Indiana; two sisters, Joy Gould and Judy Trentman noth of Illinois; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
