Joe Gilbert, 37, of Deputy, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1977 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Ronald Lee Gilbert and Diane Marie (Gregorash) Mulcahey. Joe was a former groundskeeper in Chesterton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Rosa and Jeffie Gilbert and a grandfather, George Gregorash. Survivors include his companion and mother of his children, Shilo Rippe of Chesterton, Indiana; two daughters, Kaydence and Gianna Gilbert both of Chesterton, Indiana; his mother, Diane Mulcahey of Leiters Ford, Indiana; a sister, Stephanie Oehmke and her husband Michael of Hobart, Indiana; a brother, Ed Strothoff and his wife Robyn of Portage, Indiana; a grandmother, Barbara Gregorash of Leiters Ford, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
