John Empson, 71, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born September 26, 1943 in Brownstown, Indiana, the son of the late LeRoy and Grace (Henry) Empson. John was married Oct. 12, 1969 to Marissa J. (Zollman) Empson, who survives. He was retired laborer form Cummins Engine Company in Seymour, Indiana and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Jeramy Empson of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Larry & Dan Empson both of Brownstown, Indiana and a sister, Jo Anne Sandlin of Florida.
