Jose “Chon” Banda Machado, 79, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Lake Pointe Village. He was born on March 3, 1940 in Piedras Negras Coahlila, Mexico, the son of the late Ignacio Banda Cortez and Teresa Machado. Jose was a farm hand while in the United States and also had worked at a Steel Mill in Mexico. He liked the outdoors and going fishing. Jose was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raul Banda Machado and Edmundo Gamez Machado and an infant sister, Maria Banda Machado. Survivors include a brother, Ramon Banda-Machato and his wife Teresa of Austin, Indiana; a son, Orlando Banda of Mexico; eleven nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
