Kathy Smith,63, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was a former employee of the old U.S. Shoe Factory in Crothersville, Indiana, also the old Jeeves Restaurant in Scottsburg, Indiana and the Liz Claiborne Outlet in Seymour, Indiana.  Kathy graduated from Austin High School in 1970 and was a member of the Moose Family Center # 2324.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael L. Smith; her parents, Leonard and Thelma Hurst; a sister, Barbara Helton and a brother, Michael Hurst McNear.  Survivors include a son, Travis Smith and his wife Niki of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Regina Hughbanks and Janet Johnson both Scottsburg, Indiana; one grandson, Tyson Martin and a great grandson, Rylan Martin.
