Kenneth A. “Kenny” Frakes, 71, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Paul S. Frakes and Thelma L. (Williams) Frakes. He was married on April 17, 1993 to Maxine Campbell. Kenny was a retired foreman from Sheet Metal Workers Local 110 in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a Life Member at both the VFW Post #3281 in New Albany, Indiana and the American Legion Post # 204 in Sellersburg, Indiana. Kenny enjoyed the outdoors and especially gardening. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Paula Frakes. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Frakes; a son, David and wife Monica Frakes of Bell Air, Maryland; a daughter, Diana and husband Marcel Menendez of Helotes, Texas; two stepsons, Roger and Rodney Campbell both of Seymour, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Angela Doebler of Scottsburg, Indiana; his mother, Thelma L. Frakes of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two sisters, Sharon Dennison of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Marsha Wallace of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a brother, Mike Frakes of Louisville, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, Elza David Applegate (Patience), Chaynee Kendall (Joseph), Kara Robison, Allie Pearson, Nikki, Tyler and Keenan Campbell, DJ, Markus and Chris Frakes, Allysa and Evan Mendendez and four great grandchildren, Lawson and Cora Kendall and Ella and Jensen Spence.
