Kenneth Campbell, 86 of Shelbyville, Indiana, formerly of Deputy, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on September 4, 1931 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Herbert and Lettie Mae (Howard) Campbell. Kenny was a retired supervisor for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he worked for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, served as the Scott County Jail Commander for Sheriff Gordon Julian and also worked as a Scott County Community Corrections Officer. In addition, Kenny was a Reserve Police Officer for the Austin City Police and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Departments. He was the Past President of the United Auto Workers Local Union 111, a Lifetime member of the Scott County VFW Post # 6582, former member of the Fairland Masonic Lodge, the Murat Temple and the American Legion in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kenny was preceded in death by a son, Paul Campbell; a grandson, Ross Sheridan; two brothers, Paul and Saul Campbell and two sisters, RosiaLee Haney and Kathyleen Petty. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marie (Garant) Campbell; two daughters, Esther Sheridan and husband Harry of Greenfield, Indiana and Carolyn Pigmon and husband Tim of Fairland, Indiana; a son, Mike Campbell and wife Kathy of Rushville, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Jody Campbell of North Vernon, Indiana; three brothers, Hubert Campbell and wife Debbie of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bruce Campbell of Paris Crossing, Indiana and John Campbell of Deputy, Indiana; seven sisters including twin sisters, Maxine Frakes of Henryville, Indiana and Josephine Kamman of Austin, Indiana, Susan Baker Dufresne, Sarrah Heinitz and Sophie Freeman all of Michigan, Mary Campbell and Cindy Barger both of Seymour, Indiana; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
