Larry Frank Maxwell, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his residence. He was born on August 15, 1938 in Speed, Indiana, the son of the late Frank Maxwell and Elizabeth Eleanor (Grills) Maxwell. Larry graduated from New Washington High School in 1956 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the owner of Larry Maxwell Quarter Horses in Scottsburg, Indiana. Prior to starting his own business buying and selling quarter horses, Larry had worked at Rotary Lift and with Bert Jones at his saddle shop. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association since 1968. Survivors include two sons, Tony Maxwell of Scottsburg, Indiana and Cody Chambless of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Tonya Maxwell of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Marvin Maxwell (Beverly) of Nabb, Indiana; a grandson, Dustin; a great granddaughter, Bella and several nieces and nephews.
