Mabel Elise Peden, 79, of Clarksville, Indiana, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Baptist Health Care in Louisville, Kentucky.   She was born on March 21, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Edward R. and Rose K. (Koetlitz) Hartman.  Mabel retired as a registered nurse in the mission field, then spent several years as a nurse at Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky before finishing her career with Spectra and Floyd Home Health in New Albany, Indiana.  She lived in Scott County from 1983 to 2006 with her husband, Robert Peden, who preceded in death and was a member of the Austin Wesleyan Church in Austin, Indiana.   Survivors include her brother, Marty Hartman (Beverly) of Murphy, North Carolina;  a daughter, Becky Evans of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Michael Peden, Michelle and Danielle Evans; a great grandson, Grayson Robert; a niece, Wendy Hartman; two nephews, Edward and M. Eric Hartman and several great nieces and nephews.
