Marjorie Peacock, 92, of Deputy, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 8, 1925 in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alfred and Myrtle (McCutcheon) Cozart. Marjorie graduated from Austin High School in the Class of 1943 and then married James Marion Peacock on June 16, 1943. Jim preceded her in death on April 20, 2007, after 63 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and also worked with her husband on their family farm. Marjorie was a faithful member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Austin, Indiana, the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild, Harmony Chapel Homemakers Club and the United Methodist Women’s Group. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Erich James Peacock and a great grandson, Jayce Ray Stallings. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce L. and husband Dennis Marr of Barefoot Bay, Florida; three sons, Larry and wife Kathy Peacock, Robert and wife Sandy Peacock and Steve and wife Carrie Peacock all of Deputy, Indiana; a sister, Virginia Hestland of Greenwood, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
