Marshall E. “Eddie” Pigg, 69, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on September 26, 1948 in Crothersville, Indiana, the son of the late Marshall J. Pigg and Lois Marie (Bridges) Pigg. After High School, Eddie attended a training school in Battle Creek, Michigan and learned how to operate heavy equipment. He was the owner and operator of Ed’s Small Engine Repair Shop in Scottsburg, Indiana. Eddie also had worked at the old Craven’s Tire Mart and Funk’s Saw Mill both in Scottsburg, Indiana and the old Garrett’s Saw Mill in Washington County, Indiana. He loved to fish and work on anything that had an engine. Eddie was married on Dec. 17, 1977 to Lutricia Lu (Hyde) Pigg. Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Charlenne Head of Henryville, Indiana; two stepsons, Hank R. Williams and Lowell R. Williams, II both of Austin, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Lora Sobczak of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Robert Lee Pigg of Scottsburg, Indiana; five sisters, Rebecca Marlene Hayes of Crothersville, Indiana, Connie Berry of Green River, Wyoming, Bonnie Pelston of Austin, Indiana, Sally Head and Sue Hall both of Scottsburg, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
