Mary Donne Donahue

Mary Donne Donahue, 63, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Scobey, Montana, the daughter of the late Alvida  and Gertrude (Nordgren) French.  Mary was a former principal and teacher for the old Family Christian Academy, former owner and operator of The Coffee House and a member of World Outreach for Christ, where she was the worship leader, all in Scottsburg, Indiana.  She graduated from Scobey High School in Scobey, Montana and authored three books, The Tall Lady, The Accidental Miss and Hidden Secret.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Alden, Parris, John, and Kevin French; two nieces, Melanie Southland and Stephaine French and one nephew, Michael French.  Survivors include her husband, James H. Donahue; two sons, Robert J. Donahue of Indianapolis, Indiana and Joseph J. (Jill) Donahue of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Keren A. (John) Vantana of Evans, West Virginia; five sisters, Candace (Tom) Southland and Rozlynn (Burl) Bowler all of Scobey, Montana, Melissa Tade of Seattle, Washington, Anne French of Sidney, Montana and Willa (Jerry) Hendrickson of Plentywood, Montana; two brothers, Clive (Diane) French of Clermont, Florida and Blaine (Patti) French of Great Falls, Montana and eight grandchildren, Oliver, Jude, Peter, Bo, Carmella, Arabella, Edith and Gwenevere.    Memorial Contributions: The family c/o Collins Funeral Home, 465 W. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Turning Point Church.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Turning Point Church in Scottsburg, Indiana with burial in
Scottsburg Cemetery.

Oh my, I had no idea that Mary had passed. I worked for Mary and Jim at the Coffee house. She was a very sweet lady. Sending my condolences.
