Mary Eaves, 86, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at her residence. She was born on August 6, 1932 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of the late Flem Roy Hearne and Mary (Jenkins) Hearne. Mary retired in August of 1992 as supervisor of housekeeping for Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she had worked for 22 years and was a member of the Lexington Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer T. Eaves; two sons, David Lee Hearne and Roy Thomas Eaves; a granddaughter, Candy D. Moore; four sisters, Cora Robbins, Betty Drake, Dorothy Hearne and Georgine Fitch and five brothers, Roy, Lloyd, Floyd, Dale and Ray Hearne. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Marshall and Bonnie Koontz both of Lexington, Indiana; two sons, Jerry Wicker Raymond Dale Eaves both of Austin, Indiana; ten grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Aaron Flucke officiating. Visitation: 10 am to 2 pm Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monroe Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
