Mary Elizabeth Bogard Scifres, 72, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Villa Springfield. She was born on December 21, 1944 in Nelson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jesse Lee Bogard and Margaret (Snawder) Bogard. Mary was a retired employee of Cummins Engine Company, where she worked for 30 years at several different plant locations. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid UK fan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Douglas Scifres; three brothers, David, Marvin and Lawrence W. Bogard. Survivors include two daughters, Melody Scifres-Bautista and her husband Carlos of Springfield, Ohio and Rhonda Wettrick and her husband Jeff of North Vernon, Indiana; five sisters, Thelma Bowling and her husband Denver and Margo McCandless and her husband Tom all of Scottsburg, Indiana; Rachel Rutherford and her husband Harold of Lexington, Indiana, Wanda Gregorash and her husband Steve of Las Vagas, Nevada and Theresa Rice and her husband Ronnie of Centerville, Texas and five grandchildren, Zach Wettrick, Aiden, Emma, and Armando Bautista and Jessica Scifres.
