Maurine Lueck, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of the late Dennie and Elsie  (Kay) Newby.  Maurine was a former seamstress for Samsonite Luggage in Denver. Colorado and former co-owner and operator of the old Lueck Construction Company in Denver, Colorado.  She was preceded in death by her husband,  Gale P. Lueck, Sr.;  a daughter, Loretta Helm; a son, Verdise “Butch” Hicks and two brothers, Fred and Irvin Newby. Survivors include four daughters, Sheena (Eddie) Hackstaff of Denver, Colorado, Teresa (Ramon) Banda of Austin, Indiana, Beverly Hicks of Scottsburg, Indiana and Debra (Scott) Gilbert of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Billy Ray (Sandi) Hicks of Firestone, Colorado and George “Bubby” (Mindy) Hicks of Colorado and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
