Melissa Ann “Missy” (Thompson) Burger, 48 of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on November 22, 1969 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of Randy D. Thompson and Patty (Colwell) Fiscus. Missy graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1988, earned an Associate Degree at Sullivan University and then her Bachelor’s Degree from Phoenix University for Business Administration. She was a Human Resources employee at U.P.S. in Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked for 27 years. Missy loved to travel, shop and especially being with and taking care of her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her father, Randy D. Thompson. Survivors include two sons, Codey Turnage (Cassie Spalding) of Underwood, Indiana and Tyler Turnage (Zoe Pappas) of New Albany, Indiana; her daughter, Makayla Burger of Memphis, Indiana; her mother and stepfather, Patty and Greg Fiscus of Lexington, Indiana; two brothers, Bryan Fiscus of Lexington, Indiana and Travis Thompson of Seymour, Indiana; her sister, Angie Stidham of Lexington, Indiana and three grandchildren, Ezekiel Tyler, Charlotte Faye and Caroline Melissa Ann Turnage.
