Michael Charles Cannon, 68 of Clarksville, Indiana, formerly of Elwood, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on February 14, 1950 in Elwood, Indiana, the son of the late William Charles and Patsy Ruth (Clark) Cannon. Michael graduated from Wendell Wilkie High School in Elwood, Indiana and was a Catholic. He was an employee of Sara’s Snack Shop and also had worked at Hopewell Development Center in Anderson, Indiana and State Plating in Elwood, Indiana for many years. Michael was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and also had served for many years in Indiana Army National Guard. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 5782, American Legion Post # 53 and the Moose Lodge all in Elwood, Indiana. Michael enjoyed celebrating Halloween and Godzilla and Dracula were his favorite characters. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children; Patricia Darlene and Jerry Michael Cannon and a brother, John Robert Cannon.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sara M. (Carey) Cannon; a daughter, Kristina Lewis (Michael) of Lexington, Indiana; a brother, Thomas W. Cannon (Michele) of Van Buren, Indiana; a sister, Ruth Ann Davis (Rick) of Carmel, Indiana and two grandchildren Kristian Michael and Marissa Annalise “Anna Banana” Lewis.
