Michael Lee Powers, 53 of Salem, Indiana passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 4, 1960 in Moab, Utah, the son of the late Robert Lee Powers and Lorna Jeannie Brace. Michael was a former welder for Fire Engineering in Murray, Utah and he loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Powers, Jr and Douglas Powers. Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Powers of Salem, Indiana; two sons, Zachary & Dylan Powers both of Salem, Indiana; his companion, Laura Marshall of Salem, Indiana; three brothers, Steven Powers of Salt Lake City, Utah, Josh Powers of Clarksville, Indiana & Darin Powers of Scottsburg, Indiana and three sisters, Sandy Lenois of St. George, Utah, Laurie Powers and Crystal Gladd of Salt Lake City, Utah. Memorial Service: 11:00 am Friday at Church of Latter Day Saints in Salem, Indiana with President Jeff Blackwell officiating. Cremation was chosen. Online condolences: www.collinsfuneral home.net
