Mildred F. “Mickey” Vandegrift, 62, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1952 in Dizney, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Olin and Irene (Cox) Thomas. Mickey was a homemaker and attended the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church near Scottsburg, Indiana. Survivors include her husband, Earle D. Vandegrift; a daughter, Teresa D. Lafferty and her husband Al of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Jeff Vandegrift and his wife Stefanie of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Ralph Thomas and his wife Mildred and Ronald Thomas and his wife Pam all of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters, Betty Sue Gibson and her husband Gary of Lexington, Indiana, Carol Huttsell of Scottsburg, Indiana and Eula Hoard and her husband Jim of Lexington, Indiana, four grandchildren, Justin, Jasmine, Bradley and Logan Vandegrift and a great grandson, Jackson Vandegrift.
