Mountie J. Mount, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at his residence.   He was a life resident of Scottsburg and the son of the late Luther E. and Maunys I. (Dismore) Mount.  Mountie was a retired production mechanic for the old American Can Company in Austin, Indiana and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, a Life member of the American Legion Post # 234, a Life member of the Crothersville VFW Post # 1083, a Kentucky Colonel, Honorary member and Past President of the Scott County Sheriff’s Posse, 50 year member of the Scottsburgh Lodge # 572 F & AM, member of the Moose Family Center # 2324, AmVets and the Veteran Coalition.  Mountie was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Michael J. and Steven L. Mount.  Survivors include his wife, Jeannette (Holland) Mount; a son, Matt Murray (Katie) of Sellersburg, Indiana; six grandchildren, Joshua Mount (Jennifer), Amber Poole (Denny), Shelby Lynn Mount, Teagan, Emmersyn and Brennen Murray and eight great grandchildren.
