Oscar Gray, 82 of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on June 17, 1934 in Clay County, Kentucky, the son of the late Charles and Gracie (Caudill) Gray. Oscar was a retired paving crew foreman for the old Scott County Stone Company in Lexington, Indiana, where he worked for 36 years and a member of the New Life Assembly of God in Scottsburg, Indiana. In addition to his church, he was a member of the English Lodge # 622 F & AM in Lexington, Indiana and the last surviving Charter Member of the Johnson Township Volunteer Fire Department. Oscar enjoyed bowling and had been a member of several leagues. He also raced cars on dirt tracks earlier in life. Oscar was married on September 19, 1953 to Gladys Maxine (Hunter) Gray, who preceded him in death on January 27, 2008. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Steven Gray; two brothers, Billy and Earnest Gray and two sisters, Doshie Hunter and Bertha Mae Hart. Survivors include two sons, Randy Gray and his wife Carry of Scottsburg, Indiana and Robbie Gray of Austin, Indiana; two daughters, Cheryl Gray Darlington and her husband Jerry of Lexington, Indiana and Dawn Gray Berry and her husband Robert of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Evalee Smith of Lexington, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Sandra Gray Beasley (Charlie), Candy Gray Gerbig (John), Jeremy Richardson, Brandon Darlington, Robert Andrew Berry (Anna), Jason and Robert Cole Gray, Joanie Hall, Tyler Berry, Cody and Jacob Gray and twelve great grandchildren, Preston, Tamara, Natalie, Hunter, Haley, Erica, Kimberly, Virginia, Jeremiah, Jackson, Landon and Alexis.
