Patricia I. “Patty” Kimmick, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on August 14, 1936 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth B. Denney and Edith L. (Dean) Denney. Patty graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1954. She was married on June 22, 1958 to Henry Lee Kimmick, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2009. Patty was a homemaker and also worked on the family farm with her husband. She was a member of the New Chapel United Methodist Church in Underwood, Indiana, the Scott County Homemakers Club and the Women’s Bridge Club. Patty enjoyed painting China and playing bridge with her friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry W. Robbins. Survivors include five sons, Cary Lee Kimmick of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jerry L. Kimmick (Jennifer Burns) of Lexington, Indiana, Dr. Kenneth W. Kimmick (Susan) of Bloomington, Indiana, John B. Kimmick (Teresa) of Scottsburg, Indiana and Joe R. Kimmick (Brittney) of Underwood, Indiana; two sisters, Nancy Murphy (Charles) of Underwood, Indiana and Judy Hoskins (Fredis) of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother: Ted Denney (Mary) of Scottsburg, Indiana and ten grandchildren, Albert Kimmick, Lyndsay Prichard (Dylan), Olivia, Kristina, Staci and Johnathon Kimmick, Issabella and Molly Mauk, Henry and Hank Kimmick.
