Paul Gene Finch, 81 of French Lick, Indiana, formerly of Scottsburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana. He was born on September 5, 1935 in Jennings County, Indiana, the son of the late S. Paul Finch and Marjorie (Gudgel) Finch. Paul was an Indiana Conservation Officer in District 8, retiring in 1993 after 29 years of service. He graduated from Deputy High School in 1953, was a member of the Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing, Indiana and the Amick-Baker-Kellams FOP Lodge # 156. Paul was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed playing golf and working puzzles. He was married on Nov. 7, 1958 to Joyce A. (Cox) Finch, who survives. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Jim Huff. In addition to his wife Joyce, survivors include two sons, Randy Finch and his wife Brenda of Vallonia, Indiana and Tim Finch and his wife Carolyn of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Cindy A. Finch of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Sue Berry and her husband Roger of Madison, Indiana; five grandchildren, Tabitha Perry (William), Jason Finch, Clarence Zollman, Jr. (Lana), Nathan Finch and Tiffany Taylor (Chris) and seven great grandchildren, Breanna, Andrew, Paul, William, Jr., Elizabeth, Nicholas and Karsen.
