Peggy A. Hickman, 75, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Melvin Peter Taylor and Gladys Margaret (Clark) Taylor and graduated from Austin High School. Peggy was a retired laborer from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, was a member of the Austin Christian Church, the Silver Creek Beagle Club in Henryville, Indiana, a former 4-H Leader, enjoyed crafts, fishing, camping, gardening and her flowers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Kay Coomer and a brother, Thomas Lee Taylor. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gerald D. Hickman; two daughters, Vicky Hall and her husband Dennis of Scottsburg, Indiana and Angie Bowlin of Dodge City, Kansas; three sons, Gerry and Kevin Hickman and his wife Kimberly all of Austin, Indiana and Terry Hickman and his wife Joyce of Deputy, Indiana; a brother, Gene Taylor and his wife Peggy of St. Croix, Virgin Islands; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild and her dog, Mazda.
