Peter Floyd West, 67, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on August 29, 1947 in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Joan (Lettman) West.  After graduating from Scottsburg High School in 1965, Pete served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.  He retired in May of 2014 as owner and operator of  Stoplight Liquors in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Pete and his wife also were former owners of several other businesses, including the old Moonglo Drive-In, Scott Theater and Stoplight Video Store.  He was a member of the Moose Family Center # 2324 and a former member of the American Legion Post # 234.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Martin West.   Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judy K. (Harrod) West; a daughter, Andrea Gibson and her husband Greg of Lexington, Indiana;  two sisters, Carol Pastrick and her husband Nick of Austin, Indiana and Sandy Railing and her husband Tom of Milford, Ohio and three grandchildren, Ryan David and Hope Elizabeth Gibson and Lucas West.      Memorial Contributions: Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
