Ralph Thomas, 75 of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born on December 23, 1941 in Dizney, Kentucky, the son of the late Olin and Irene (Cox) Thomas. Ralph was a retired machine operator and die setter for G.E. Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky where he worked for 32 1/2 years, retiring in 1997. After he retired, he also worked for 10 years as a maintenance man at St. James Community in Scottsburg, Indiana. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred F. “Mickey” Vandegrift and a brother, Harold Thomas. He was married on Dec. 19, 1960 to Mildred (Smith) Thomas, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Dwayne Ralph Thomas and his wife Penny of Scottsburg, Indiana and Darren Thomas and his wife Sue of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Glenda Nichols and her husband Mark and Helen Miskell all of Lexington, Indiana; a brother. Ronald Thomas and his wife Pam of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters, Carol Huttsell of Scottsburg, Indiana, Eula Hoard and her husband Jim and Betty Sue Gibson and her husband Gary all of Lexington, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Jason Nichols (Vicky), Kristi Prickett (Mark), Amber Halbert (Bobby), Anthony Thomas (Haley), Leslie Trevino (Brandon), Megan and Christopher Thomas, Tyler, Patience and Olivia White and seven great grandchildren, Emmalynn, Riley, Aubrey, Bryson, Robbie, Lauren and Lexie.
