Raymond Howard McNear, 61, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on April 1, 1957 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Howard McNear and Norma Jean (Lyle) McNear and graduated from Scottsburg High School. Raymond was a retired laborer for Krunches Potato Chip Company in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he worked for 19 years. Previously, he also worked for the old Holm Industries in Scottsburg, Indiana for 19 years He was a member of the Turning Point Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, enjoyed blue grass music on vinyl and loved spending time with his family and his dogs. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Andy Hansrote; a brother, Herman Ray McNear and a sister, Betty Stutsman. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Wanda G. (Brown) McNear; a daughter, Lory McNear of Scottsburg, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Terry Hockman of Evansville, Indiana and Mary Jo Swank (Donnie) of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; three sisters, Darlene Whitehead, Cindy L. Jackson and Sandy K. Collings (Tim) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandsons, A.J. Hansrote, Josh Moore, Keith and Wayne Hockman and and three great grandchildren, Charlotte, Candance and Sky. The family request that any memorial contributions be given to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana to help with the funeral expenses.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Turning Point Church with Deanna Jackson officiating. Visitation: 10 am to 1 pm Tuesday at Turning Point Church. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
