Renetta Sebastian

Renetta Sebastian, 80, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. She was born on March 11, 1936 in Saul, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Farmer and Lillie (Couch) Napier. Renetta was a retired lab technician for Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for 32 years before retiring in 1994 and attended the Safe Harbor Christian Church in Memphis, Indiana. She graduated from a Floral & Arts Design School and enjoyed working with and creating flower arrangements. Renetta also was in a Christian singing group called the Singing Christian Echoes, that performed at numerous venues around Southern Indiana. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Murphy, Everitt, David, Trolley, Dennis, Rolley, Willie, George and Fred Napier and three sisters, Versie Napier Barrett, Verdie Adams and Felda Turner. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Rash Sebastian, Sr.; a son, Rash Sebastian, Jr. (Sharon) in Austin, Indiana; a daughter, Gayle Michelle Sebastian of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; a brother, Clarence Napier (Veredies) of Powell, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Michael Sebastian, Amy Lamar (Martin), Travis Babbs (Melissa), Misty Barnes (Phil) and Lance Draper (Lindsay) and ten great grandchildren, Molly, Alek, Brayden, Casen, Corbin, Ava, Reese, Mitchel, Noah and Ashlynn. Memorial Contributions: National Kidney Foundation of Indiana c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday, March 10, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor T. C. Baker, officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday and after 10 am Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.

My heart is broken for the lose of my wonderful Aunt Renetta....I think God that I had her and Uncle Rash when I was growing up ...they where such great role models. I can't even start to explain the loss that I feel in my heart for her...She always had a kind word and a wonderful smile for me and a big hug..I am so sorry that I couldn't be there when you passed but thank God I did get to see you and tell you how much I loved you about 9 days for you passed...You always gave me so much love and I will miss my beautiful aunt....Praying that I see you again in heaven..Your loving neice Karen (Sue) McVey Nashville, Tn Thinking of you all
