Rev. Marvin Wayne McIntosh, 64, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1952 in Booneville, Kentucky, the son of the late Charlie McIntosh and Emily Jane (Caudill) McIntosh. Rev. McIntosh was a member for 46 years of the New Frankfort Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana, where he has served as their Pastor for the last 26 years. He was the owner of the former Marvin McIntosh Construction and Creative Mortgage Brokerage in Austin, Indiana. Marvin was a member of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce and past nominee of the Mayor’s Good Neighbor Award. He was married on Sept. 5, 1969 to Carmen J. (Gilbert) McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Juanita Hargis and two brothers, Russell and Robert Z. McIntosh. Survivors include his wife, Carmen J. McIntosh; two daughters, Tammy Robinson (Logan) of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Lisa Herald (John) of Dalton, Georgia; two sons, Marty McIntosh of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Michael McIntosh of Clarksville, Tennessee; three sisters, Rosetta Gross and Alice Burns both of Austin, Indiana and Louise Brooks (Roger) of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Roy McIntosh (Kay) of Austin, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Emily Terry (Kenley), Charles Brown, III, Caitlyn Johnson (Zach), Ciera Robinson, Zachery, Brandon and Hope McIntosh, Christian, Johnathan and Jacob Herald and three great grandchildren, Gabriel and Dawson Terry and Raylynn Johnson. Although I've never met the man, I know that he was a great person. A true believer in our lord, Rev. Marvin Wayne McIntosh spent his life telling people that there is someone to look up to, that there is someone to believe in, God. Knowing two of his wonderful grandchildren, it's clear that he loved his family. Heaven gained an angel that day that will never be forgotten.
