Rick Hardin, 66, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on December 29, 1951 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Dennis J. Hardin and Betty Joyce (Alexander) Hardin. Rick graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1971. He was the former owner and operator of the old R & R Auto Sales and Hardin Cars in Scottsburg, Indiana. Rick loved to watch New York Yankees baseball and tinkering with his cars. When he was younger, he also enjoyed restoring and working on old Classic Cars. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sheri Rae Hardin and a brother, Roy A. Hardin. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Hardin of Columbus, Indiana; a brother, Phil Hardin of Austin, Indiana; a granddaughter, Jena Fryback of Columbus, Indiana; his daughter’s mother, Linda Thompson of of Columbus, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. I would just like to say Rick was a great guy he never let his handicap hold him back, I always loved doing business with him. He had a Great personality, and he always had something funny to say, I would have loved to been their, I'm out of town. He will be sadly Missed by the Family of Don Guthrie. Hope to see you on the other side some day.
