Ricky A. Rooks, 57, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on June 11, 1960 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of Arvin Rooks and Wanda (Shouse) Eddings. Ricky graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1978. He was a former supervisor on second shift for Aisin Drivetrain in Crothersville, Indiana for 16 years. Prior to that, he was the fleet manager for Transmedic Transport in Clarksville, Indiana for 12 years. Ricky was in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years and was a member of the Scott County Historical Society. He was preceded in death by his father, Arvin Rooks and a daughter, Taryn Leigh Vires. Survivors include a son, Jacob A. Rooks of New Albany, Indiana; a daughter, Hannah Rooks of Scottsburg, Indiana; mother and stepfather, Wanda and Gary Eddings of Sellersburg, Indiana; a sister, Donna J. McDole (Kenneth Smith) of Fortville, Indiana; a half brother, Michael Rooks of Indianapolis, Indiana and three grandchildren, Trenton, Jayden and Kamdyn.
