Robin E. Prewitt, 56, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 20, 1960 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of the late James H. Thomas and Mae Evlin (Overton) Thomas, who survives. She was an employee of Genpak in Scottsburg, Indiana for about 19 years and a medical assistant for Benjamin V. Roberto, MD for several years. Robin was a resident of Scott County for most of her life, a member of the Scaffold Lick Baptist Church, a member of the Scott County Moose Lodge Family Center 2324, Women of the Moose obtaining the highest honor, the Senior Regent Degree. She was married on Aug. 16, 2000 to Doug Prewitt, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Kalee Alberring of Seymour, Indiana; Kara and husband Lucas Wehmiller of Dudleytown, Indiana; a son, J.D. and wife Brittany Prewitt of New Albany, Indiana; her mother, Ann Thomas of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters: Linda and husband Marvin Richey, Peggy and husband Frank Mays and Nancy Thomas all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Larry and wife Lisa Thomas and Bobby and wife Margie Thomas all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two granddaughters, Asher and Parker Prewitt both of New Albany, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, James H. Thomas on April 4, 2013. Interment will be at Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery near Blocher, Indiana. Memorial Contributions: Children of Mooseheart c/o Collins Funeral Home.
