Ruby L. Rigsby, 98, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Lutheran Community Home. She was born on May 18, 1920 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late John B. McClain and Lona N. (Warley) McClain. Ruby was a former nurses aide for Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana, a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Crothersville, Indiana and the Crothersville Ida Rebecca Lodge. She was an avid Indiana University fan and loved watching driver Jimmy Johnson in NASCAR. Ruby also enjoyed traveling and had been on numerous Toby Tours trips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben R. Rigsby in October of 1972; several brothers and sisters and a grandson, Eric “Todd” Rigsby. Survivors include a son, Raymond E. Rigsby and his wife Mary of Indianapolis, Indiana; a daughter, Linda G. Gambrel and her husband David of Crothersville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Michele Douglas (Chris), Michael Rigsby (Sharon), Melissa Sheehan (Dan), Darren Gambrel and Jeremy Gambrel (Rebekah) and six great grandchildren.
