Ruth N. Thomas, 93, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana. She was born on August 6, 1925 in Crawford County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Cleo Andrew and Golda Fern (Vanmeter) Nicholson. Ruth was a retired storekeeper for the old I.C.I. Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Thomas; a son, Samuel A. White; a daughter, Evelyn L. White-Gray and her sister, Edith Marie (Nicholson) Shafer. Survivors include a daughter-In-law, Ruthie White of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Virginia Lynette Hoskins of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Kathy Rhea Moore of Rockford, Tennessee; four grandchildren, John, Jerome, Jeffery and Bobbi Lynn; several great grandchildren; a niece, Linda Shafer; a nephew, Michael Shafer (Sherry) and her niece and caregiver for the last seven years, Lana Davidson and her husband Richard.
