Shaylla Michelle Jones, 21, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Commiskey, Indiana. She was born on December 4, 1997 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of Douglas Ryan Jones and Amanda A. (Glenn) Rogers. Shaylla graduated from Scottsburg High School, was a delivery driver at Domino’s Pizza in Scottsburg, Indiana and was a U.S. Navy Recruit awaiting deployment. She had attended the Northside Christian and Scottsburg United Methodist Churches, enjoyed skating, dancing, loved animals, her pets and helping people. Shaylla was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Ryan Jones. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Amanda Rogers and Michael of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Makenzie Marie Jones of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Kaleb Cockerell of Scottsburg, Indiana; her grandparents, Sharon Moore and Duane Hilderbrand and Larry and Beverly Jones all of Scottsburg, Indiana, Sue Cravens-Phllips and Julian of Lexington, Indiana and Sheree Rogers of Louisville, Kentucky; great grandfather, Robert J. Glenn of Scottsburg, Indiana; her aunts, Nikki Cockerell-Smith of Paoli, Indiana, Kasie Rogers and Crystal Dries (Mark) all of Louisville, Kentucky; her uncles, Christopher Moore and Anthony Moore, Jr. both of Scottsburg, Indiana; great uncle and aunt, Carl and Teresa Glenn of Scottsburg, Indiana and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
