Shirley M. Zollman, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky, the daughter of the late George and Thelma (Castle) Walters. Shirley was a retired cashier for Jay C Food Store in Scottsburg, Indiana where she worked for 28 years and also the former Kitchen Matron at the Scott County Jail for Sheriff John Lizenby. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Scott County Democrat Club and a former vice precinct committeeman for Vienna 4. Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Walters. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ray Zollman; two sons, Danny Zollman and his wife Dee Dee and Rick Zollman and his wife Jeneice all of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brother, Wayne Walters of Sellersburg, Indiana, Allen Walters of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Mike Walters of Memphis, Indiana; three sisters, Georgia Hall of Scottsburg, Indiana, Pauline May of Watson, Indiana and Janet May of Otisco, Indiana; three grandchildren, Karen Hall, Jill Wagler, and Lauren Zollman.
