Stanley L. Allen, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. He was born on April 10, 1938 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late John Allen and Dorothy (Ely) Allen. Stanley graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1956. He was married on Nov. 7, 1970 to Brenda K. (Phillips) Allen, who passed away on Nov. 30, 2018. Stanley was a retired foreman for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, where he worked for 32 years. He was also retired owner and operator of the old Allen Machine and Tool in Scottsburg, Indiana, was a retired chief Warrant Officer from the Indiana Army National Guard and currently served as a Scottsburg City Councilmen. Stanley was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and the Scottsburgh Lodge # 572 F & AM. Survivors include his son, Chris Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; his daughter, Amy Noble and her husband Shawn of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Glenda Buckner of Scottsburg, Indiana and Gloria Cullison and her husband Bill of Seymour, Indiana; a brother, J.W. Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; two grandchildren, Mason and Anne Noble and several niece and nephews. Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Sills officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home and after 9 am on Thursday at the First Baptist Church. Interment with military honors will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
