Terry L. “Elrod” Whitsitt, 57, of Deputy, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Leo and Idell (Jones) Whitsitt. Terry was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Department of Natural Resources at Hardy Lake in Scottsburg, Indiana where he worked for 36 years and a graduate of Scottsburg High School. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Hoffman and her husband Scott of Heltonville, Indiana; three brothers, Gary A., Larry R. and Kevin E. Whitsitt all of Deputy, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brock, Luke and Audrey and six nieces and nephews, Farrah, Justin, Coralee, Grizzlee, C.R. and Matthew.
