Thelma Marie (Hoskins) Barnes, 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Salem, Indiana on April 23, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Tankersley) Hoskins. Thelma was a great mother, a former manager at several motels across the southern states, a former server at Hardy’s Cafe in Scottsburg, Indiana and raced Powder Puff Stock Cars. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lige, General, Paul, Arthur and Vernon Hoskins. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa J. Napier and Michelle R. Wilkes; two sons, Michael Hoskins and Billy R. Barnes and six grandchildren, Rene, Justin, Savannah, Julia, Samuel and Trinity.
