Verna May Cummings, 58, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Smith) Johnson. Verna was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsburg Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina May Bradshaw; a brother, George Johnson; and first husband, Daniel Bradshaw. Survivors include her husband, Steve Cummings; three sons, Charles R. Quinn, Jr., James R. and Michael D. Quinn all of Scottsburg, Indiana; six daughters, Michelle Bradshaw, Roberta, Sylvia, Jennifer, Michaela and Diana Quinn all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Billie Jean Mintz of New York; four grandchildren; six stepchildren including, Parker, Kat and Kristina Messmore; seven step grandchildren and the father of her eight children, Charles Robert Quinn, Sr. Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
