Wilbur A. Julian, 88, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. He was born on July 7, 1928 in Austin, Indiana, the son of the late Otto and Elsie (Mitchell) Julian. Wilbur was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, then served in the National Guard for a short before reenlisting and retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree member of the Scottsburg Lodge # 572 F & AM, Charter member of Scott County VFW Post 6582, Life member of the American Legion Post 234, Scottish Rile Valley of Indianapolis and the Moose Family Center # 2324. Wilbur was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica L. Julian; five brothers, Cloyd, Delbert, Harold, Ray Dean, and Altus Julian; great grandson, Nicholas Prince and a son in law, Greg Prince, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. (Bowling) Julian; two daughters, Linda Kay Prince and Vickie L. Southerland both of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Gordon Julian and his wife Millie of Scottsburg, Indiana; five grandchildren Gregory Prince, Jr., Kellie Perkins, Christopher and Kathleen Pelley and Courtney Southerland and four great grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell Prince and Zachary and Alyssa Perkins.
