William G. “Jerry” Bishop, 75, of Deputy, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 29, 1938 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Alvin W. and Dorothy V. (Boyd) Bishop. Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Scottsburg High School, a retired farmer, former owner of the Bishop Oil Company in Scottsburg, Indiana and also worked at the old Bishop Motors and the old American Can Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra S. Swope. Survivors include his wife, Fely (Aves) Bishop; three sons, Marty Bishop and his wife Stephanie of Scottsburg, Indiana, James “Boo” Bishop and his wife Tiffany of Deputy, Indiana and Greg Bishop of Columbus, Indiana; two daughters, Sherri Bishop of Columbus, Indiana and Lyca Bishop of Deputy, Indiana; a brother, Ronald E.
