William Stanley Christie, 90, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 28, 1928 in Austin, Indiana, the son of the late Stanley Christie and Effie (Bush) Christie. Bill was married to Susie Christie, who passed away on Nov. 22, 2010. He was a retired machine operator for Cummins Engine Company at Columbus and Madison, Indiana, where he worked for 28 years. In addition to his wife, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Christie and a son-in-law, Dave Coombs. Survivors include three daughters, Sue Ann Eversole and husband Daniel of Melbourne Beach, Florida, Linda Francis and husband Jimmy of Deputy, Indiana and Brenda Coombs of Crothersville, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Chris and Clifton Eversole, Brent Clem (Amanda), Jennifer Flood (Kevin), Josie Chadwick (James), John Clem (Amanda), Julie Burton (Travis), Jared and Jason Francis; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
