Wilma D. Royalty, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on April 10, 1937 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (East) Carter. Wilma was married on August 15, 1959 to Edward V. Royalty, who survives. She was an former employee in the environmental department at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana, also a former Clerk for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana for 10 years and was a member of Austin Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Carter. Survivors include her husband, Edward; three sons, Scott (Ingrid), Steve and Shawn Royalty (Brandy) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; four brothers, Jim Carter (Donna) of Utica, Indiana, Kenny Carter (Penny) of Michigan City, Indiana, Larry Carter (Christine) of Paris Crossing, Indiana and Jerry Carter of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Shirley Carter of Scottsburg, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jessica Patrick (Kyle), Bryan, Nicholas, Jaclyn and Caitlyn Royalty and three great grandchildren, Easton and Logan Royalty and Connor Patrick.
